NI-IMAQ libray does not show up in cVI Library?

Preped a PC with WNT 4.0 for a 1424 card I installed LabWindows 5.0.1 and NI-IMAQ 2.5. All was fine, IMAQ libray showed up in cVI Lib pull down. Later we needed W98SE, did the same, only now the IMAQ lib does not show up, and apps dont run. ie cant find any of the imaqXXXX functions.

When you install NI-IMAQ, it should have a section in the installer called "Support for LabWindows/CVI. Make sure that feature is getting installed. You can also select that feature and hit "Browse". Make sure the directory that comes up is the directory for your current version of CVI.

Yes, the support for LabWindows/CVI was selected. And I did check the path via the browse. Mater of fact, after the install all the files where there in said directory. But when you open up cVI it does not show up in the LIB, and if you run an app that uses any of the IMAQ functions it gens an error as if they were not installed. Im guess that cVI is not getting updated with the fact that IMAQ was installed, even though it is.. Im a a loss here. I have tried it more then once, in severl ways... All a no go.

Well, the installer should have added it for you, but it's no big deal you can do it yourself. Go to the Project Window and Go to Options->Library Options. Browse to the cvi\bin\niimaq.fp file and add it to the user library list. Then, restart CVI and it will be there.

I have the same problem. However, I can check only the the c/c++ support during the setup. Do not udnerstand what is happening. NO more imaq.fp file, only the C/C++ support file(hte header and the lib file is there)

The installer is not detecting CVI as installed on your system. CVI must be installed for this library to be installed. Contact our support staff and they can help you resolve this. Go to: http://www.ni.com/ask.
