NI-MAX database corrupt, need a location of version 4.1.0.3001

I have Version 4.1.0.3001 of NI-Max running on a production line. Past experience is that we do not change drivers on these machines. The equipment was delivered a few years ago, and we have found that the software installed on the machines is not the software delivered as part of the package. Support has told us to repair the corrupt database we need to go to add remove programs and insert the install disk to repair the database. We do not have the correct disk to make the repair. We have old versions of CVI and I have found version 2.2 of MAX. However many of the other editions 7.0 -> present do not have a separate MAX install. Where do I fined the correct CD to insert into the system to repair this database?

Additional information... The CVI release 8.0.0 was delivered with Max V4.0.  CVI release 8.1.1 was delivered with MAX V4.2.  Is there a NI site where I can download the exact version of MAX 4.1.0.3001 so I can repair this database ?

Hi Rich_G,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. MAX is installed along with DAQmx drivers. You can download the driver from the link below. You just need to download the DAQmx driver that matches the DAQmx driver on your CVI installation CD.

However, I would suggest downloading the latest DAQmx driver. The new driver will update MAX to version 5.0 which includes a reset to default function. It makes MAX database corruption issues much easier to fix. In addition, later DAQmx drivers will fix many of the bugs in earlier version of DAQmx. Finally, new DAQmx driver will not change or alter your CVI program.

I hope this helps.
