Hi,

I'm an experienced VB/C/C++ programmer in the process of evaluating the purchase
of CVI 5.5. I've got the demo, and would like to go thru the exercise of
developing an app, and seeing how RAD it is. This exercise will be based
on a pre-existing, simple VB6 ATE, GPIB application. Where do I begin, and
what does CVI bring to the table in terms of allowing me to convert this
app?

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Wow Frank. It's been about 10 months since you have posted this but I'd still like to answer.

CVI brings an excellent instrumentation interface to the table. If I'm not working with scopes, meters and function generators then I just use Visual C++. Maybe it is assumed that you are using instruments but I think that's CVI's number 1 advantage and wanted to make that clear.
