Other annoying CVI 7 gui issues

Hey guys,
Since everyone was interested in getting the 'minimize and restore error' fixed (forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=180&message.id=16299), I want to mention some other bugs that I see. I'm certainly interested to see if I am the only one that sees these:

-If you have the 'watch window' button on the toolbar, clicking it will open the old CVI 6 watch window. Clicking the 'x' to close the window does nothing, but clicking minimize or maximize does work. Clicking any menu bar item crashes CVI cold: 'Unrecoverable Internal Error at 001B:10487E16' followed by 'Invalid control ID'

-If you have the 'variable window' button on the toolbar, same as above--in addition to the cold CVI crash at the same offset.

-If you build a distribution kit (that takes a long time) and go to some other application to do things in the meantime, the 'Successfully built' CVI message is a pop-under, if there is such a thing. You have to change focus to some other application, and then back to CVI to get the message to popup where you can click OK. Meanwhile you can't close or minimize or maximize the IDE while the messagebox is popped under.

Certainly there must be others that just aren't coming to mind, but I would invite others to post glitches in the CVI 7 IDE so that NI can fix them in the next release as well.

Thanks for reporting these, Orlan. The first two are a known problem and they will definitely be fixed in the next version.

I couldn't reproduce the third problem, but the distribution kit tool is being completely rewritten for the next version, so this will probably no longer happen then.

By the way, to pick up on Orlan's point, we do encourage everyone to report problems like these to us. You can do it through tech support directly, or you can post it here if you prefer.
