Ploting multiple scaled axis on a chart.

A while back I came across a sample CVI application where multiple axes were plotted on a chart. The technique the writer was using was to overlay charts and make the backgrounds, axis legends, etc. transparent or something of the sorts. I should have bookmarked this example but did not. And now I have a need to use this technique and have searched for an hour on the NI board with no luck.

Does anyone know the whereabouts or name of this example code?

Thanks,
Doug Wendelboe

It seems you are referring to my Multi axis graph in CVI example

I'm happy to know that it can be of some help! Smiley Happy

That's the one... I remember it from the colorful background. Thanks Roberto.

This is the coolest plotting example on this site.  Wow, do I see a ton of uses here at the workplace.  Is there anyway to create a pdf form from this plot?

The simplest way is to install some utility like PDF995 or PDFcreator and PrintPanel directly to the PDF printer.

To obtain a better effect I normally duplicate the data on a separate panel with the same set of graph controls and print it; the separate panel is not shown on the screen and is customised instead for better aspect when printed, i.e.

- Larger area (The larger the panel the better the quality of printout: you can obtain good results printing panels starting from 1400*990 pixels panel on a A4 sheet)

- White background

- Headers, footers, additional elements like a description of test procedure, numeric results, comments and so on
