Protel 99 SE problems with LabWindows.

Solved!
Go to solution

After the installation of LabWindowsCVI 8.5 I had problems running Protel99SE SP6.

I ran the Protel99SE SP6 installer and selected the FIX option to get Protel to run again.

Now when I run LabWindows the project file icons show up as Protel99SE icons but they seem to run ok.

There seems to some data base confusion between these two applications.

Has anyone else seen this or similar behaviour?

Solution

    Hi NI Nubie,

The icon shown for a file just indicates what program is set to run it by default, so it will not cause any problems with running your projects in CVI.  If you would like to change the projects to default to CVI, you can set this property in  windows through these steps:

  1. Right click one of your CVI projects, then select Open With»Choose Program...
  2. Select CVI from the menu in the new window.  If CVI is not present, click Browse to navigate to it
  3. Verify that the Checkbox to apply the settings to all files is checked.
I hope this helps!

Yes I did that. I wanted to make sure that there was no other issues to be aware of.

Thanks Al.
