Ring control drop downs menus conflicts with ToolTips in Labwindows/CVI

In Labwindows/CVI 5.5, I have a UIR file which contains a Ring drop-down menu control. After implenting tooltips.fp (from NI), the Ring menu control will go back "up" soon after I clicked it for the drop-down choices. The time between drop-down, and resetting "up" corresponds to the tooltip hovering time I set in tooltips.c. Any obvious way to prevent this?
This question probably requires one to have knowledge of tooltips.fp. See attached if needed.

I ran your program in CVI 5.5, but was not able to reproduce the problem. The ring control did not go back "up" right after I clicked it to see the drop-down list; it goes up only after you click an item in the ring control. Thank you for your input. It seems the problem is specific to my computer. The same code worked on my co-worker's computer just fine. I guess I'll have to look at CVI or Win2K display settings, rather than fix actual code.
