Hello,
Can I replace a PCI-4060 voltmeter board associated with a SCXI-1127 relay board with a PCI-4070 voltmeter board?
Thank you.

Hello,
Yes the PCI-4070 can replace the PCI-4060 (depending on the specs you need) as they fit the same use.
I'm not sure though how it could replace the SCXI relay module.
Are you talking about PCI module, or PXI module ?
In my opinion, the best thing here would be to discuss with one of our sales engineer about your whole system in order to find the perfect configuration.
Would you like me to get you in touch with one of our sales engineer ?

Thank you Salah,
This is an old configuration with Traditional NI-DAQ.
And in the started guide, I was able to read :
NI PCI-4070 appear in the NI-DAQmx folder.
So I think I have to upgrade my software.
(the relay module is SCXI-1127).
Many thanks.

Hubert

Hi,
Sorry for the delay, I forgot to subscribe to the topic, now it's done.
I'm pretty sure that in your case, Traditional NI-DAQ is used for the SCXI module.
Regarding the PCI-4070, this is a DMM (Digital MultiMeter) so the drivers should be NI-DMM.
You can upgrade your software stack to a newer one, but if you move from Traditional NI-DAQ to NI-DAQmx (which is the newer version of the driver), you'll have to transition your code, as the driver is quite different.
Which version of OS and SW do you use right now, and how far would you like to update it ?
Note that in this KB it is told that SCXI support is dropped in NI-DAQmx 19.1 and later, so if you want to keep this module (SCXI-1127) the maximum version you can use will be 19.0.
