Here is a strong plea for "some sort of automatic driver download framework".
I build lots of projects, many new projects and many older projects modified with new features, bug fixes etc. Also DAQmx and CVI upgrades occur between builds, so the result, all too often, is the need for the "stack of old disks".
My impression is that this mechanism was instituted to save disk space in an era where that was an issue. At the current cost of disk space, I would be happy to load everything onto my disk to avoid the "stack of old disks".
An alternative of using an NI download web site for drivers with the option to cache locally is even more attractive.
Anyway, thanks again for your help. Problem is solved, and I learned something in the process.
