Setting active distribution kit using ActiveX

Previous discussions have indicated that ActiveX can be used to automate building the distribution kit.  We have multiple distribution kits for a project, and one can be selected as the "active" one in the Manage Distributions panel.

Is there a way with ActiveX to set the active distribution?  I'm guessing the CVI_AppCreateDistributionKit will build the currently active distribution, and it doesn't take an argument to specify a different one.

Hi Kaha,

There is currently no way to specify the active distribution through ActiveX.  Product suggestions are read directly by R&D, and can be made at http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/nicc.call_me.  Thanks for your post!

Understood.  My workaround is to have seperate .cds files for each distribution kit in another location.  A script overwrites the default .cds file temporarily in the project directory to build the specific distribution kit.
