Smart camera target

Hello!

I have tried to sort out of the abundance of information whether it is possible to install necessary software (CVI RT runtime, etc) to NI 17xx cameras to program then with CVI?

At this time I have installed only the recommended software to the target and fail to see any CVI runtimes in the installation wizard. The CVI environment reports that I must have the correct version of Labwindows CVI Run-Time Engine for RT installed.

You cannot install a LabWindows/CVI RTE on an NI 17xx smart camera.  If you read the user manual you can only install the software below to the smart camera target.

If you wish to develop in LabWindows/CVI you will first need to make a VBAI script to deploy to the target.  Then you can make calls to the smart camera using the VBAI C API.
