Standard I/O window poping up during ComRdByte

Hi I have be working on some code for the last year, and in the last couple of days it has started poping up a standard I/O window after a ComRdByte, the function has not changed so why has this started to happen. The ComRdByte does return an error on this read as it is scanning the serial ports for equipment attached, but this error is handled by the code, so why has this window started poping up.

There are no printf's in any of the code before you ask.

Any ideas ?

Hello-

Try going into Tools>>Environment. There is a checkbox for "Use Console Window for Standard I/O...". Try unchecking this box. There may be other modifications necessary in this dialog.
