TI XHCI USB 3 problem

We have encountered a problem using a USB-6251 on USB 3 ports with TI XHCI controllers.  The problem has been reported on three new computers all using the TI controller.

We have tested on another computer with a Renesas XHCI controller with no problem.

Admittedly our usage of the USB-6251 is unusual as we use the discrete I/O and timers to create an SPI interface.  NI helped us to create the code to accomplish this several years ago and it has worked for over 6 years without problems on many computers around the world.

I've installed the latest driver I could find for the TI controller (1.12.24) and are using Developer Suite 2012 and the February 2012 Device Drivers.  We run Windows 7 64 bit with all recent upgrades.

I see lots of problem discussion of the TI controller on Linux systems.

Has anyone else encountered problems with the TI XHCI controller?

Can anyone suggest a means to fix or troubleshoot this problem.

Thanks,

Larry

CreviceDweller,
I'm sorry you are having trouble getting your USB-6251 working correctly with your USB 3 ports.

I believe this discussion can be better addressed by our Multifunction DAQ team, as it seems closer related to the USB-6251 than to LabWindows/CVI. I will forward this message to them so that they can address this issue.

In the future, I would recommend posting hardware questions related to the USB-6251 to our Multifunction DAQ Discussion Board. Thanks!
