The tool 'Test IVI Specific Driver...' on LabWindows/CVI 8.5 crash !!!

I'm using the Test IVI Specific Driver in LabWindows/CVI on an instrument file with the following selections:

Class: Custom
Select Tests: Function Panel /NI-IVI

This tool worked well until I've changed the FP file format from '5.5 and later' to '8.5 and later'.

Now the test crash always and of course I can revert to the '5.5 and later' format...

Here are the Error signature:
* AppName std.exe
* AppVer: 4.1.0.49153
* ModName: cvirte.dll
* ModVer: 8.5.0.279
* Offset: 0013d891

Hi Diana,

No I didn't try to repair my CVI installation (I installed it two week before), but I can do it once I'll finish my work, not before...

Fortunally I've got a copy of this fp file, then this is not really a problem for me right now.

I've put the .fp and .h file in attachment, hopes this will help you. (you must specify AGN6030A instead aaAGN6030A in the Confirm Driver Prefix dialog...)

Note:
* the following dialog appears if I try to revert to format 5.5 and late: 'This file currently contains controls that use 64-bit integer data type, which are not allowed in the new file format you have selected'.

Of course, this is due because int64 was introduced in CVI 8.5... and I suppose that the std.exe maybe wasn't updated to support this type....

Best regards,

Levent

Hi,

No but originaly the same driver. I've got it internaly because I'm in charge to update it...

But what does it matter?
The problem is that if you change the format of a fp file from 5.5 to 8.5, the Test IVI Specific Driver Tool simply crash.
And as I mentionned in the last thread, using the tool with the fp file in the 5.5 format works very well (fortunately I've got a copy of the file before converting it to 8.5...)
Then I decided to keep the format to 5.5 and later...

Hi,

you can download the driver again from the link which is for CVI 7.0 and higher.

Hello leventagile,

I'd like to be able to reproduce the problem with this driver that you submitted, but in order to do so, I need to either have the corresponding dll, or the source code for the driver, so that I can build a dll with it. Would it be possible for you to attach one of those as well?

Thank you much!
Luis
