Hello,
I can try and help answer your problem. You will need to uninstall traditional DAQ and reinstall tradition DAQ to get it to recognize that there is a new CVI on the machine. This will remove it from you CVI 6.0 installation.
Another solution is to take the lib files that deal with daq (anything that has DAQ and easyio in the name) and move them to the CVI 7.0 location. This means you need to go to the include, bin, extinst directories and move FP, LFP, lib, h, sub and any other files fitting the DAQ/EASYIO description.
About DAQmx. What I know is, it is a newer/better architecture for DAQ. It is where NI is heading. The CVI group has had a lot of input into the DAQmx API for CVI versus the traditional DAQ API. NI is not going to abandon the traditi
onal DAQ user. There will continue to be bug fixes and support.
