I've never seen a problem like this in VI Logger, so I'm not sure right off what would be causing it. I've got a list of questions that might help us figure out the issue:
1. What operating system are you working on? (You mentioned the Task Manager, so some version of Windows?)
2. Can you describe your system? (Processor speed, amount of RAM, etc.)
3. What hardware are you using?
4. Do you see the same problem if you create a task in MAX?
Lastly, regardless of this problem, I recommend switching from VI Logger to LabVIEW Signal Express. The Lite Edition of Signal Express is included as a free download with the newest version of the NI-DAQmx driver and can be found
here.
