Why Ni-GPIB Analyzer could not find the Agilent 82350B PCI GPIB?

I use the CVI8.0 with full develoment & Tool kits. I did connect the Agilent 82350B PCI GPIB, install its driver, verify Hardware Manager and run its Interative I/O ... every thing works fine.

However, when I use NI GPIB Analyzer (3 times) to try, its always show GPIB support not found (as the attachment). I did try ro re-install Agilent driver (+ re-boot) but the result as the same

Does someone knows the reason?

Hello ATC_ATC,

The GPIB analyzer requires additionnal harware on the board. That's why you cannot use it with your board.

For information, NI PCI-GPIB boards mainly consist in an IEEE 488.2 controller. Our PCI-GPIB+ boards combine this IEEE 488.2 controller plus a complete GPIB analyzer on the board itself. That is why you have this error message saying that no GPIB+ interface is detected on your system.

Hope this helps,

We have to use Agilent board from our customer, but meanwhile I was waiting for the reply, I did verify in section GPIB (not CVI) forum and found the link to NI for third party GPIB, disable their GPIB driver then using Measurement & Automation Max and Miscellaneous Visa resources ... it works fine now with CVI8.0 now
