After installing CVI 9.1 FDS including the Win32 API, I can't get the WIn32 SDK help to start .. I get a popup"The Win32 API documentation has not been installed ... "
The Win32 binaries all seem to be installed OK in the sdk subfolder of CVI 2009 in the Program Files folder.
Win32 help works OK on my other PC, though it takes 15 seconds or more to start (yes, this is very annoying) and then runs in the Microsoft Document Explorer, whatever that is. The CVI 2009 Win32 SDK help is goofy anyway - you wind up drilling through a jillion links to stuff completely irrelevant to anything you could have done with CVI in order to get the regular, platform SDK help. But it doesn't work at all on my new machine.
Is it possible to have installed the Win32 SDK without the documentation?

Hi menchar,
This is a known and documented issue for CVI 2009. You can check the readme files for future releases to see if if has been fixed, the Corrective Action Request number is 202065. In the meantime, if you still have the MSDN DVD that was included with CVI 9.0 or 9.0.1, you can try installing this and see if it allows you access to the help. It is okay even if you have already installed the 2009 MSDN DVD.
