ZoneAlarm problem

One of my regular customers has ZoneAlarm on his PC. He is reporting problems with CVI version 8.1.1 apps that I have supplied to him, which result in the application crashing. Here is a typical report (for an application called RailData😞

My ZoneAlarm box says:

"RailData is trying to launch c:\...\dwwin.exe or use another program to
gain access to privileged resources."
  If I say to "allow" this, a window appears saying that "RailData has
encountered a problem and needs to close."  I'm asked if I want to send an
error report to Microsoft, then jump out of the software.

Are there any known incompatibilities between the CVI run-time engine and ZoneAlarm? Has anyone else seen this problem?

Hi there,

We haven't seen any specific errors with CVI and ZoneAlarm, however I have heard before that ZoneAlarm does sometimes have problems with EXE that try to launch other exe's.

You might need to put the runtime engine and the exe you supplied in the trusted list in ZoneAlarm?
