I deleted the cvibuild.Testexec folder and rebuilt the project but it still behaves the same way. I downloaded the patch you pointed me to and installed it, rebooted, rebuilt and still the same.

Does the output I attached in my first post provide any clues?

My project is fairly large but remember that I can duplicate all of this behavior using the NI simple testexec without reference to any of my code.

I work on several CVI projects at the same time but only one of them uses TestStand, so I had several CVI instances running. The only thing I really remember as being different is I installed the MS IE 7 beta.

Are you able to try your project on another system or uninstall the IE7

The project works fine on another system. The other system is CVI 7.0 rather than 7.1 but I don't think that is a big deal. I was thinking of reinstalling CVI 7.1 but I think your suggestion uninstalling IE 7 beta is much better. I will do that and let you know how it goes.

I uninstalled ie 7 beta and did a sfc /scannow to make sure everything was intact. The uninstall of the beta reinstalled my previous version of IE. However, nothing has changed with regard to my CVI problem. Perhaps I will just reinstall CVI 7.1.
