Sure, I can explain this for you. In CVI 7.0, we save the state of each window as CONFINED or RELEASED in the workspace. So if a window was last opened as a separate window, the workspace remembers that and opens it as a separate window again. This is really intended to preserve your preferences in the Integrated View. So, for now you would have to re-confine each of these windows when it comes up by selecting Window->Confine Window.
CVI really shouldn't be saving this window state for the classic view though, which is what is causing this inconvenience for you. I will make sure our CVI development team is aware of this issue so they can improve the behavior in the next release.
