nicaiu.dll error after changing nothing

Hey everyone,

I am running a program from CVI in debug mode and it was running earlier today without any problems.  I then changed a couple files and tried to run it and got the error that I have attached.  So I replaced those files with the original ones and figured that it would run the same as it did before.  However this is not the case.  It still comes up with the same error.  I checked everyfile that I could find and checked the modify date.  There was nothing from today besides some files created due to building the program.

I don't want to install a new version of NI-DAQmx for risk of breaking something else.  When I started to it gave me a warning saying that VISA would have to be updated and I just have a feeling so will many other things and I don't want the whole program to break.  This program is being phased out but it still needs to work right now.

Any help or suggestions would be apprecaited.  Thank you.r

Hey joedowdle,

Currently, what version of NI-DAQmx and NI-VISA are you using? You mentioned that you changed a couple of files and tried to run again, and that's when you received the error. Which files did you change?

I didn't change any NI related files. I won't be able to look at the versions until tomorrow or so as I'm out of town. The files I changed were bit files and header files using the FPGA to C generator. I put the original back though so I essentially I didn't change anything that I'm aware of.

Hey joedowdle,

You could try performing a forced reinstall of the driver version you need. Your dlls may no longer be registered correctly after the file update. Let me know the version you're using when you're back in the office.

I decided that we are just going to upgrade the software throughout the machine.  After it's done it will be running all LabVIEW 2011 SP1 and associated software.  Hopefully this will fix the problem. Thanks.
