Did you mean:

no SCAN_Demux in daqmx ?

update:
now I got the correct cable for my pci6250, I could verify this one works ok with MAX, as well as my freshly ported cvi-app (using daqmx).
as mentioned, the pci-mio16e4 works correctly with MAX using traditional NI-DAQ as well as my 'old' cvi-apps,
but NOT with daqmx (no matter in MAX or cvi), I think this is clearly a bug in daqmx driver.
I think this should be reported to NI - is there some kind of bug-tracker like bugzilla ?

Hi!
Excuse me for being tedious, but...   ...don't forget it could be a terminal problem. If so, it is not a DAQmx problem, it's a matter of unsupported feature of your old card.

Anyway, I hope some NI expert will answer soon, because I'm really interested to driver compatibility problems! So thank you for your post josswern!

you're right in that one should always check any possibilities, before claiming to have found a bug 🙂 -
but I'm pretty sure it IS one, because the old card behaves different when using the _same_ hardware (cables, connections, terminations) _and_ software setup
(meas. channel, gain, termination setting...) just by using traditional ni-daq or daqmx, respectively.
in any case, thanks again for your comments/suggestions.
and, hopefully, someone at NI will take this up.
I for myself will stop investigations here, as I'll have to get my app running with the new pci-cards, which seems now possible.
old cards will continue to be used with the trad.-daq version.
