want to build application for xp

i have version of CVI/LabWindows 4.0.1.....

i build a software distribution kit for my app but get an error in installation under xp environment. the error is as follows: "insufficient disk space to install application. The directory must have more than 0 bytes to install.." What do i have to do to get my application to install and run under Windows XP?
Is there a patch that will fix it or do I have to get a full upgrade...?

Hello

CVI 6 is the version that has been tested with XP. There were alot of changes made to the OS, and CVI 4 came out way before the OS even existed. You would need to have a full upgrade if you intend to develop applications for XP

Hope this helps

I think this is a drive size problem rather than an XP problem. The installer with CVI 4 does not understand drive sizes bigger than a certain amount.

I recall this being discussed on the CVI mailing list an age ago; but sorry, I cannot recall whether there was a fix for it. You may want to try asking on the mailing list if you get no joy here, since there are participants there who do not use this forum.
