why the .exe file can run in WinXP OS but can't run in Win2000?

Can you provide some additional information on the behavior you are seeing? Which version of CVI was the application built with? What error message do you receive when you run it in Windows 2000? If the application uses hardware drivers or other software, is this software installed on the Windows 2000 machine? What kind of application is being run in the executable?
