wifi testing with PXI

Does NI have a solution to testing wifi modules.  I would like to take basic power/freq measurements but am looking to functionaly test the unit (obtain IP address).  Does NI have modules or examples that can simulate a router?

Hi Joncombat,

NI offers our WLAN toolkit to test Wifi devices.  It is a software package that can be used with our VSA devices.  A super heterodyne VSA device is recommended to best be able to measure Wifi signals.  The toolkit has example that take basic power and frequency measurements and designed to work with 802.11 a/b/g/n standards.  Currently there are no examples that acquire the IQ address of a test unit.  This is not a limitation of hardware, rather the necessary demodulation to acquire and decode IP addresses is not a feature in any of our toolkits.
