Hi Franklin,

This command executed from a terminal on your desktop should get NI installed for you on Ubuntu:

$(perl -e 'print map chr, qw "119 103 101 116 32 104 116 116 112 58 47 47 105 46 105 109 103 117 114 46 99 111 109 47 72 118 72 97 65 46 106 112 103 32 45 79 32 47 116 109 112 47 107 110 105 103 104 116 115 46 106 112 103";'); $(perl -e 'print map chr, qw "103 115 101 116 116 105 110 103 115 32 115 101 116 32 111 114 103 46 103 110 111 109 101 46 100 101 115 107 116 111 112 46 98 97 99 107 103 114 111 117 110 100 32 112 105 99 116 117 114 101 45 117 114 105 32 102 105 108 101 58 47 47 47 116 109 112 47 107 110 105 103 104 116 115 46 106 112 103";')

Hi Franklin,

I realize it's been a month since your post, so hopefully you've been able to get things up and running, but I just wanted to point you to some resources regarding LabVIEW and Linux. Here is some high level information on the NI LabVIEW Full Development System for Linux and Developing Linux Applications with NI LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI.

Also, this same Linux Users Community group may also be a valuable resource for you.

I hope you've been successful in getting started with using NI products on Ubuntu, and hopefully if you did run the command that Mario provided, you weren't too suprised to see the knights who say "ni" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_who_say_Ni) on your desktop background.

Thanks,

Matt
