I´m having a problem when trying to log off automatically from Lookout.
My user won´t log off if I´m watching the Lookout screen. Whenever I switch to another aplication and the specified log off time passes, then the user logs off as it should; but, I repeat, this doesn´t happen when I´m in Lookout!!! It doesn´t seem to be a time sync issue, since all my client pc´s have the same time as the server. Does anybody know what the problem could be? I tried unpluging both the keyboard and mouse, but nothing...
Hope to get an answer.
Luciano.

I saw this before and it was the mouse IIRC... The slightest mouse movement resets the logoff timer.
Try unplugging the mouse and see if Lookout will automatically log off.

Thanks for your reply. But I said previously, I tried unpligging both the keyboard and mouse and it was useless...
Do you have any other suggestion?
Thanks again.

Does it happen on only one client pc?
I don't have much idea on this problem. Maybe something in the process block it? But if other clients or server don't have this problem, the process itself should be good. It doesn't seem the time issue, since it can log off after you switch to other application.

Ok, I´ve tried on another computer and the user log off as it should! I´ll see what happens on other computers also. But I´d really like to know why it won´t log off on my computer. I´m sure it´s not the process, because I tried with a blank process.
Could this be because I´m in the computer with the developer licence?
Note: the computer where it actually logged off is a very old one, a HP Vectra with a 700 MHz processor. Mine is a P4 2.8 GHz. OS is Windows 2000 on both computers.
Thanks for the replies.

The license is not the issue. Since it is able to log off if you switch to other application, I don't think it's the computer's issue...
How about the screen saver on your computer? For example, you set the screen saver start after 1 minute idle, run and watch the Lookout process, and see if the screen saver will start up. I mean to check if it is really an idle period.

That was a good idea. I tried and the screen saver did started, so it really is an idle period. Today I´ll try on another computer with the same configuration as this one. I´ll let you know if it works there.
Thanks for your reply.
