Cannot load Lookout v.3.8 on my XP machine.

I cannot get the Program CD to load on my XP operating system. I want to develop my application on this machine. I do have it loaded on an older Win98 machine. I have part # 500668D-00 Lookout Development System Ver. 3.8.

I would highly recommend to update to Lookout 5.0. Since Lookout 3.8 was released before XP there was never the intenetion that Lookout 3.8 should work on XP, could run on XP. However, Lookout 5.0 works perfectly on XP!

Upgrading to Lookout 5 may be feasible after a contract is signed. I had hoped to get a head start on the development. The problem doesn't seem to be with the Lookout program. The XP system simply will not read the CD, wheras the 98 system does. Doesn't make sense.

yes, that does not make sense. What about copying all the files to a network drive and install it from there?

Or you could use/download the evaluation version from Lookout (www.ni.com/lookout) and develop with the latest feature of Lookout 5 (the networking technology of Lookout 4 and higher was drastically changed, and I would take advantage of that befor you try to use an obsolete Lookout 3.8 version).
If this fits you could order a Integrator Lookout version, which is pretty cool and useful for system integrators!
