Lookout's price has not been reduced recently.

You are looking at prices reflecting the new(ish) 75% academic discount. Not sure when that went from 35% to 75%, but it did, for most(not all) NI software products. Caught me napping until I called to price some LV upgrades.

It is now cheaper for academics to buy new in most instances, than to upgrade their existing packages. Go figure.
