How do I send a different numeric code to a pager for each alarm?

I have a pager object.  I put $Alarm.message in the message field of the pager object.  I put the numeric code in the message field of each alarm.  We recieve a page but no code.  How can I get the different numeric codes to show up on the pager?

Take care that the number should be in quotations.
