Dear Users/Experts,
I am having NI lookout 4.5 version application without LKS files. I am new to NI Lookout, but familiar with DCS system.
Now I need to update application for logic addition in existing NI Lookout project(4.5), but couldn't find the LKS file for existing Processfiles. I tried little modification nad saving but LKS file was not generated.
Tell me procedure to re-generate LKS file for existing processfiles.
Awaiting any response from the forum community.
with warm regards.

Check the lookout.ini file. There exist a syntax like "saversource=0" or something. If you find it, just delete the line, default is save source.

No more ideas, maybe one; do you save your state file (LKT) some were else? Can it be that LKS is saved on the same spot?
Are you sure there is an write permission were ever you save your files?
Can you edit the process files within lookout? Not protected in anyway?
Here is the end of suggestions, sorry. Anyone else>

Hello rob v,
Answers to your query:-
do you save your state file (LKT) some were else? - No.
Can it be that LKS is saved on the same spot? - was not sure, but for new process it was creating LKS file in same path.
Can you edit the process files within lookout? Not protected in anyway?
Are you sure there is an write permission were ever you save your files? this solved my problem.
Old existing files were checked for "Protect file from editing with your account name/password".
Now I need to save all files with "Save As" and unchecked the box for protection.
Thank you for your response and help.
with warm regards.
