Log to historical database.Resolution

In lookout 6.0 and 6.1 I see you can set the resolution of a numeric data member.  I somewhat understand that this setting is used to set the precision of logged data.  What happens if one were to set this value to 0 or 5 or 8.01.  Can someone give examples using those figures.  Also, does this setting have any effect on digital inputs/outputs logging when set to logic(versus numeric) or do they have to be set to numeric. Your help would greatly be appreciated.   Thanks

Maybe this article can help you better understand it.  Chapter 2, Compression of Numeric Data

Citadel logs the delta value. So, the bigger the Resoluation value is, the smaller space the Citadel uses to log value.
0.01 means the accuracy is 2 decimals.  If you set 0.02, it will be less precise, but not big difference.
0 means full resolution. It takes more spaces.
8.01 is almost the same as 8, but less precise than 5.
