Lookout Installation/Windows ME

Hi,

I have tried to install Lookout on a new computer with Windows ME. For some
reason, the ODBC files won't install. Anyone else had the same problem?

Hi Travis,
It is a known problem and it recently was fixed.
Try to nstall a later version of Lookout 4.0.1.56, or anything that uses
the latest release Logos installer (MSI). Actually, you can keep the 4.0.1.51
install, and *just* install the latest release Logos, which will install
ODBC correctly.

Travis,

There is a patch for one of Lookout's components (which we call Logos) that
will install the Citadel ODBC driver on WinME. Its at this location -

ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/lookout/Lookout4fixes/logos4039.zip

There a bunch of other files on this FTP site, but please read any readme's
before you download them. Most of the zip files you see there are password
protected. (logos4039.zip is not password protected)

Actually, I have come to realize that all files on the FTP site have passwords,
including logos4039.zip. This is due to the fact that we only want customers
to upgrade to fix specific problems (if it ain't broke don't fix it philosophy).
So, if you need the password to this file, you will have to call National
Instrument's technical support number.
