How do I determine how many I/O points my customer's development license allows?
My customer has a development license installed at their site. The NI website says that with the licensing options, you are also allowed to install on a home computer. How can I do this? How can I tell if the previous developer did this? Since I already have downloaded the trial version onto my laptop, can I just activate with my customers license and do development on my laptop as well as the customer site?
Many thanks,
Ken
(still a newbie)

Also, how would I get the serial # for my customers installation? Can I do that from the License Manager?
Thanks,
Ken

You can get the activated license information from Help->About Lookout
Could you give a link to the web page that says you are allowed to install it on home computer?
One license can only be activated on one computer at the same time. If it is already activated on site, you cannot use it on your computer.
The serial number comes from the product purchase.

I found the info regarding the "home" license here, http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6297 under License Types, Computer-Based License and Named-User License. I have the customers serial #, so I will try to install a home license tomorrow and report back.
Thanks,
Ken
