For the classes, I know that Lookout Direct ships with different features enabled and disabled.

I have all the newest versions.
I was not able to install DirectLogic Plus. It would not take my password. From what I read DL+ is to add the Lookout Direct functionality to NI Lookout so I shouldn't need it on my Lookout Direct PC.
Any other ideas or am I starting my development from scratch? ![]()
Thanks,
Nick

Correct, LookoutDirect includes the driver. The directsoft communications software is loaded also? Not sure this would cause the compiler to crash though.
Having not run into the issue, I cant offer too much that may help...
Have you tried another machine with a fresh install of LookoutDirect?

I just tried a fresh installation on another WinXP machine and I witnessed the exact same behavior.
I was able to set up a remote connection to the plant and get a fresh copy of the source file as well.
Is there something else I need to do to get a backup of the project other than copy the process file and the source file?
I also opened the source file in notepad. Copied everything and pasted it into a new notepad file which I saved with a .LKS extension. This also crashed Lookout Direct when I tried to open it.
Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

I spoke with Automation Direct (LookoutDirect supplier) tech support and they reccomended trying to see if someone at NI could recompile and save my v4.0 source file in version 4.5 of Lookout. They were thinking that LookoutDirect would have an easier time opening a version 4.5 file.
Is there anyone running v4.5 of Lookout that I could send my source file to so they could recompile it and send it back to me?
Thanks for all your help,
Nick
