Modbus slave problem

Hi,

I have a strange problem with Modbus slave object.

Modbus slave object is created on Lookout 6.1, and Modbus master is on Lookout 6.5. They communicate over wireless Ethernet connection. Connection works fine until it stops for some reason.

After that it never repairs.

But when we restart Lookout 6.1 with Modbus slave, communication works fine again.

This starts to happend almost once peer day.

Is there any ideas for help?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Same problem here.

Serial Modbus Master-Slave communication over digital radio between 2 PCs running Lookout 4.5 .

I performed serial traffic trace and it is obvious that there's no response from Modbus Slave after Master polls it.

Reopening process without closing Lookout solves the issue until it happens again.

Tried same process on different PCs and same thing happened. I tried few mbslave.cbx files..No luck.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

On the modbus slave machine, open Options->Serial ports. Choose the port used by the slave object. Try to increase the Receive Gap from 20 to 100.

And also enable the diagnostic file to log the data communication on the port. It can help to troubleshoot the problem.
