My Fieldpoint analogue signals hang on some rare occasions.

They will only clear when the power is reset or the module is removed and replaced. Im using Lookout 4.1.

Are all the points going out on that bank of modules? I had the same problem with our FieldPoint 1600 Network modules, where occasionally the connectivity to the FP1600 through the network would become disconnected, and the only way to fix the problem was to power-down/power-up the module. I spoke with NI support about this and they confirmed this to be a defect in the FP1600 modules and that we could RMA the modules for a rediculous fee (It was only another $100 to buy a brand new FP1601!!!). We opted to just replace the modules with FP1601's which we have not had any problems with so far. The cost for the RMA depends on if you are still under warranty (which is unlikely), and the revision number of the Fieldpoint module (A,B,C,D,E,etc..). If you talk to them abo
ut this, they will ask for a part number and revision number which you can only get off the label on the module itself (unless you already have it), it is kind of a pain if your modules are in the process, they should make that information available through FieldPoint Explorer.

Thanks for your reply. No; The bank consists of DIs and DOs with an FP1000 and and FP1001. The Inputs and Outputs all work fine whilst the analogue signal just locks at the last valid value before the freeze. There is no error reported either.

Have you tried reinstalling the firmware of the controller?
