I've had a lot of success using IBM rack mount servers with hot swap scsi drives (Raid 0). Both W2000 and XP seem to provide a robust platform.
Support and parts are becoming an issue and we need to upgrade. However, current offerings from major suppliers no longer supply XP. I don't believe Lookout is supported on Server 2003 (or newer) and I have serious concerns with Vista.
Anyone care to share their thoughts and/or experiences on this subject?

I have very limited testing done on Vista, but lookout 6.1 works on Vista.
Have you considered purchasing an OEM version of windows XP? Id suggest newegg.com
Others may know more about the vista thing 🙂

Thanks for that source info. Great site!
We also use pcAnywhere, both host and remote. Initially, there was no functional version available for Vista. That may have changed, but I can't see any benefit moving beyond XP.

Another remote option would be RAS or Terminal Services, built-in to windows. We use PCAnywhere as well.
Good luck
