Recent Lookout updates

I just installed the latest updates for Lookout 6.0.2
I copied the four files to the Lookout Server and every thing worked great. (Hypertrends are great now)
I copied the four files to my client machine and i got a demo license window when starting.
I changed the lkworks.dll back to the one that was there and it now works fine.

Are the updates supposed to be applied the client workstations or just the server?

Hi Mark,

The Lookout updates are for all versions of Lookout, i.e for both client
as well as server versions. You can take a look at the readme file from
the lookout 6.0.2 download page
6BD?opendocument&node=132070_US for more information on what issues were
fixed. Have a great day!

We have recently installed the 602 patch files:  hyper.cbx, lkworks.dll, and the sqlexec.cbx.  We followed the readme.txt on how to install the patches and we came up with the same error with it being an unregistered version.  We reverted back to the original files on the client machine and everything was fine.  What is going on????  And this is for our client machine.

Our Lookout software has another issue (on top of other unresolved issues) due to the 3 above files being installed.  The problem being experienced is when we create a logical expression object (ctrl+e), it does not function.  We know this signal changes because we decided to trend it next to the indicator.  We see it changing, so we know the signal is functioning.  It doesn't even work when we invert the signal.  Steps taken:

1.  Deleted the logical expression object and recreated it.
2.  Inverted the signal.
3.  Restarted Lookout.
4.  Added the signal to test in hypertrend.
5.  Changed signal to another logical signal.

*We have not had the opportunity to revert back to the older files yet.

None of the actions taken above remedied the issue.  We have an indicator light that is always OFF, even when it should be ON.  This is false information being displayed, and we need to question the validity of the data shown for any new objects created.

Please advise.

Hi fixthis,

Can you please post the exact error message you got when you installed the free client version of Lookout from the Lookout 6.0.2 installation download. Screenshots would help. Before replicating the issue, I suggest you uninstall your existing copy of Lookout and then reinstall the free client from the Lookout 6.0.2 installation.

About the logical expression - can you try the following:

1) Create a Pot object and display it on the control panel
2) Create a expression by: right click on your process in the 'Object Explorer' window -> select 'New Object' -> deselect categorize check box and then select the '(expression)' object. Set the expression to turn on if the pot values goes over 50. Also create a display for this on the control panel

Does the led on the control panel for the expression still not turn on if the pot value is over 50?

Have a great day!

Prashanth
