I have been having trouble with Lookout Ver. 6.0.1 build1. I have a Tiway ojbect setup to use the TCPIP with a Siemens TI555 PLC. This application was using a serial connection to the PLC but since I have over 10,000 items in the Tiway ojbect database, it was updating about once every 3 or 4 seconds. I have now installed a TCPIP Siemens 505-CP2572 Ethernet module in the PLC and when I changed the Tiway ojbect to use the TCPIP option and put in the IP address, the communications were extrememly slow. Up to several minutes to see an update. I then connected my laptop (development computer) to the same Ethernet cable that my HMI computer is using and the communications were around 1 ot 2 second updates, which is where I would expect to see them. So, by using my laptop I have verified the PLC card is OK, the Ethernet cabling is OK, and my application is OK. The communication is so slow with the HMI computer that it ends up writting 0's to all the PLC items, which is a nightmare to correct. I don't understand why simply changing from a Serial connection to TCPIP would cause this to happen. Any ideas?
