Upgrading Lookout 6.1 to Lookout 6.2

I have upgraded some of my client machines from 6.1 to 6.2 with no problems. If I update my server machine to 6.2 will the clients still running 6.1 be able to access the 6.2 database, i.e., view data on hypertrends?

Yes, the 6.1 client will still be okay if you use 6.2 server. The Citadel database in 6.2 is still 5.x, it is compatible.

One more question - I still have to detach the database, uninstall 6.1, install 6.2, then reattach the database to the database directory in the 6.2 directory, correct?

I think so. I don't remember the details about what it will do if you uninstall without detaching database.

After you install 6.2, and try to attach, the database will be in original folder, such as Lookout 6.1\database. If you want to use Lookout 6.2\database, you need to archive.
