What does the error "Could not load class!" mean?

I've just loaded Lookout 6.1 on a new computer and have tried to load a process file onto it.  I'm getting the error messages: "Could not load class!" and "Error running process file!" I can take the same process file and load it onto a different computer with no problems.  What should I look for?

Does your process use either a custom or third party object that is not installed?  I have gotten this error when loading a process that uses the Direct Logic Plus driver object when I failed to install Direct Logic Plus into the correct folder.

what is the correct directory i put it in the c:\programfiles\nationalintruments\lookout 6.1\dscomm4.cbx and when I go into the process file it still gives me the could not load class error?

Delete the lookout.dat file and reopen lookout.

I'm having the same problem, new install on Win7 Lookout 6.6. Deleted Lookout.dat, same error. Verified DirectLogicPlus is in the folder, reloaded a couple of times. Any help would be appriciated.

I didnt think the DLPlus driver was updated for Windows 7 and Lookout 6?

If you are using development server, try to create a new process and create new object, do you see the DirectLogic driver in driver list?

The server is running on another machine (windows XP). I am doing a new client install on a windows 7 machine. Yes, the Directlogic driver is in the list on that machine, and other clients (windows XP) are working with it.

The direct logic driver WILL NOT work with Windows 7, and Automation Direct says they are not upgrading the driver to work with windows 7 .

We are in the process of moving to NIOPC Servers for our DirectLogic PLCs. So far, the move has been going well.
