Why client pc slow down?

Hello.

We have clent- server application. Our problem is next: in last month client PC periodically work very slow. (Configuration is excellent).

It hardly start up and also change panels (when we press pushbuttons to change screen) very slowly. Can anybody answer us why?

We found up that it work much fastly (and also start up normally fast process ) if we disconnect network cable for connection with server.

We realyy have no answer for this situation.

Open task manager. When the client becomes slow, which process takes the most cpu usage?

What's your lookout version?

Hello, situation with my task manager is shown on gigures in att.

 From time to time for lookout I have situation Not responding which stay for short time.

The Citadel service uses 30% cpu, which is not a normal usage.

Close Lookout.

Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services, stop National Instruments Citadel.

Go to National Instruments\Shared\Citadel\, delete the localcache folder. This folder may be hidden.

Restart the Citadel service.

The Citadel on client gets the data from server Citadel and store the cache data in the localcache folder. If you just install the Lookout client software, the localcache folder is the only database on the client computer. If the Citadel service uses a lot of CPU, it's probably because the cache database has the problem.

After you delete the cache database, the client will retrieve the data from server again.  

By the way, do you see similar problem on server computer?

Thanks. I have no any problem on server maschine.

Now, situation with client PC is better. It works normally fast and get raw measurement, but from time to time it has now connection with citadela on server maschine. We made  bat files to stop and start nicitdl5.exe. In past it worked but now it does not help.

What can we do to have better connection between client PC and citadela on server PC?
