accessing traces from citadel backup in another machine

i am having a problem with lookout and citadel database, i have got a citadel backup and i restore the backup in another machine but now the problem is i am not able to access the traces using hypertrend

Hi,
What version of Lookout and citadel are you using? If your citadel version is older then 4.5.1, here's the link you can download the latest version.

Also make sure that the default path for citadel database is correct in your Lookout process. To check the default path, click on Options>>System in Lookout.

I am using citadel 4.5.1, the problem is, in citadel it stores the traces with the machine name so if i take the backup of this database and restore it in a different machine( machine name is different ) and i am trying to access the traces using the hypertrend, hypertrend will not get any thing because it will check for the traces with the current machine name,

in my case i tried changing the default path to the current path still no use

Hi,
If you want to view histortical data on another machine, you can use Measurement & Automation Explorer. Here's an on-line document explains the process.

If the other machine is not on the network, you can still create an Historical Data viewer in MAX. You just need to browse and specify the database path on the localhost at step 5.
