alarm window

I am running Lookout 5.0 and have lost my alarm pop up window. I have tried restarting the PC but still have no alarm window. All the settings for alarm display options are correct.

If you select Window-> Alarm Window, will it pop up?

No it will, not. Nor will it pop up if you press CTRL A, it appears that the alarm window tries to open because the  Alarm tab show option becomes subdued. If all windows are minimized the alarm minimized window is no longer visible.

If you close all processes, will you see the alarm window? Do you see anything besides the menu?

Create a process, go to Alarm->Display Option, try to change the Window Style. Could you see it if you change it to "Bottom"?

No the alarm window is not visible with all processes closed. I can change the window style to bottom or top and it will display in the appropriate location (this is problematic, as it blocks the users view of the function buttons). If I select minimized or floating the window will not appear.

By the way, your assistance is much appreciated!

It's so weird that I have never met.

Is it possible that the alarm window is outside of the screen?  Like the attached pic, you can see hidden alarm window at the buttom, drag the scroll bar to show it.

What happened before you first met this problem?

Try to repair Lookout.

Ryan,

The alarm window is no where to be found. I initially thought the same thing, maybe it was just out of view...not sure how that would happen any way. The operators don't have the rights to even change the settings or even move the screens around.

The last time the alarm window disappeared was about 2 weeks ago. Every thing had been running along fine. And we just lost the alarm window.

I ghosted an old copy of the PC image to a new replacement computer, installed it on the machine and that corrected the problem. Everything was good for about a week and then we lost the alarm window again.

I really didn't want to re-ghost. I'd like to be a little more scientific about the fix, but that may be my only option. I don't understand the loss of the alarm screen, especially considering the same thing occured on a totally different PC. The original PC is at my desk and has been running for 2 weeks, without losing the screen.

Thanks,

Mark Sanchez
