citadel file corruption

It appears as if my citadel database file may be corrupted. I received a Logos error, shutting down logos and the citadel logging service. When I move my logging area to a different folder, it works again. however, if I try to connect to the old database through Lookout, MAX, or through an MSQuery, I get the same error. I tried installing the new Logos 4.5, but there was an error here too which aborted the installation (there was a file that did not appear in my Temp folder). I then tried going through the other steps in the 'Can I fix a corrupted database in lookout 4?' and after removing the .mdx and .tdx files, and trying to reopen lookout, it did not regenerate these files. I tried the other steps, but always came up with the same error. Is
there anything else I can do to retrieve the data stored in the database?

This link might help,

Also, I would suggest backing up your database at least twice a day. This link includes a process file that will do that:
