okay i kind of have it working....i'm not wanting to close the main control window and i do want to close the popup windows i am opening with the combobox with a close button....i tried putting a second combobox on the popup window and made it not visible....this kind sort of works...is there any way to delay how fast the windows pop up when the selection is made in the combobox....or can you make the selection in the combobox and then have to press a go button for the window to pop up...thanks..randy
thanks...that's the ticket.....only one more thing...is there a way to put "Select A Screen" in the combobox and it return to this when you close the popup instead of it just being blank...randy
okay i told a story...one more thing...how would i take i guess a couple of comboboxes and a go button (kinda like the one at the top of http://www.galottery.com/ ) and make it open the excel spreadsheet i log items to for that day or whatever day i choose...thanks..randy
Do you mean that you have many xls files that named with the date? such as 2006-6-1.xls? What do you mean by "open the excel spreadsheet"? just open it with excel or import the data into lookout object?
okay i have a spreadsheet object that logs how much of different aggregates and how much cement is put into a batch for concrete blocks...i think i set this up in the spreadsheet object (not sure) but is saves them as a csv file under a year folder which includes the month folders and then the day folders...every day it makes a new day folder and when the month rolls over it makes a new month folder.......when you open up the day folder and double click on the file, excel opens it up.....i was wondering if i could make a couple comboboxes for the month and day with a go button to open the files according to month and day....is this possible....thanks..randy..i appreciate all your time
