lks failes to compile on Windows Server 2003

I have been editing and creating a lookout process on a Windows XP machine and have been using the lks files extensively with no problems. Today I opened the lks file and copied the sections I needed to the same process file on a Windows 2003 Server machine and the lks file failed to compile. When I tried opening the old l4p file, it would not open either. I had to start Lookout and then open the existing l4p file to bring the system back online. Why would I have trouble on one machine and not the other.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments. This can sometimes occur if some required files are missing from the second machine or if the versions of Lookout are different. Missing files are usually files that are used by an object, like spreadsheet files used by the Recipe object.

Editing lks files directly can be more efficient that editing the process through Lookout, but it can also be difficult to debug in that the error messages are not always obvious when a mistake is made in the lks file.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything I can help with or clarify.
