nasty error massage “ illegal operation “

I am trying to edit an old application for a customer. I installed Look Out on an old PC that is comparable to the machine that the application is currently running on. When I try to open the app I get a nasty error massage “ illegal operation “ Details= “ LOOK OUT caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 015f:bff7b997.  Help!

What's your lookout version and OS?

Try to open the LKS file with a text editor (i.e. Notepad). Copy-and-paste the entire contents of the LKS file to a new LKS file. You can just create a txt file and change extension to .lks. Open the new LKS file in Lookout. This may solve your problem.

If you just launch lookout.exe, will you get the crash?
